Rants of a regular person renewing an NBI clearance

I am applying for a new job and one of the requirements is an NBI clearance so I immediately ran to my drawers to get mine but when I finally found my copy, it surprised me that it was already expired so today I am here lining up for the renewal of my clearance. I arrived at about 7:30 and at that time the line was already longer than the longest anaconda or even the dragon in Dragonball Z. It was more than a mile so to speak.

Ok I already expected the long line but little did I expect that the other applicants would be unrefined. The area has trash all over and it definitely ruined my cheerful mood. The person in front me threw his trash on the ground not once but twice that I could not control myself any longer I yelled "You should not throw your trash on the street just like that. Obviously, I was upset.  This guy is just an example. I hate to admit this but there are so many Filipinos who throw their trash anywhere, and people who are concerned would not even  voice out their dismay about it. After my mention of the "crime" his companion asked him to the take his trash to a garbage bin but he just shrugged it off saying "I don't see any trash bins" well in my head I was saying "Hey stupid look for one".  It's already 9 am and I am still lining up.

It is a good thing I have a book with me "Holy Blood Holy Grail" to keep me entertained while lining up for this document. The book is all about the controversies of the Catholic church much like Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code but in a documentary format.

Going back to trash. I believe it is time for a national ID system that would ease our being cleared from the NBI. Anyway, until later at Travelingandinbetween.

Update: The guy threw a water bottle this time. So stressed.
I did not have breakfast today so I had taho (curdled soy bean pudding) from manong vendor and an orange that miraculously appeared in my bag.

The NBI clearance application took me 13 horrible hours all in all. I alternated reading, playing games on my phone, and chatting with other applicants today. My lunch was a no good hotdog sandwich and a cup of buko juice... Next time I will bring a sleeping bag and a tent...
